Return to Training Programs

STEP BY STEP – RETURN TO TRAINING!

We are excited to welcome athletes back to the gym as we prepare for our 9th Season.

All steps are in line with the opening guidelines set forth by the Ontario Government.

Step 1: Small outdoor group athlete training (estimated start date – June 14th)

Athletes will register for up to 2 sessions per week in their age group according to birth year. Athletes will be in training groups of a maximum of 10 participants and will work on Jumps, Strength & Conditioning, Flexibility/Stunt drills (non-contact) and Tumbling. We will be setting up an outdoor tumbling circuit that will use various tumbling aids, non sprung floors as well as air tracks to ensure that athletes have the ability to train all levels of tumbling in a safe environment. These sessions will run from June 14th – July 9th

Step 2: Larger outdoor group training, contact permitted & team placements (estimated start date – July 5th)

Athletes will continue to attend their outdoor training session for the first week of July but group sizes may be increased, to a maximum of 25. As long as we have moved into Step 2 of the Provincial framework, stunting will be permitted during this step (we are awaiting further guidance from the OCF in regards to what this will look like). Team placements will run from July 12th-16th. Athletes will be given the option to attend a team placement session OR to be placed based on their existing skills. Returning CheerStrike athletes will only need to come in for a team placement if they have new tumbling skills to be evaluated on.

Step 3: Team practices begin and indoor training resumes (estimated start date -July 26th)

Indoor training will continue to follow all Provincial guidelines, athletes will be training with their new teams as of July 26th and will begin working on routine skills and continuing to build on stunting training.

Outdoor Training Registration:

Outdoor training will run from June 14th-July 9th. Note that Thursday training is cancelled for July 1st and Friday Training is cancelled on July 2nd (reflected in the tuition fee).

Each athlete may register for up to 2 nights of training. Spots in the session are non-transferable (you cannot have someone attend in your place).

In the event of rain or any other weather interference outdoor training will be cancelled for the evening and prorated refunds will be provided.

Please be aware that all outdoor training is strictly drop off & pick up only, there will be no spectators permitted.
